Research indicates that Dubai has become the top choice for Americans seeking to relocate abroad, surpassing cities like New York, Miami, and Paris.
Based on a 12-month analysis of Google search data by financial services firm Remitly, Dubai emerged as the most sought-after destination for foreign visitors among 164 countries’ “move to city” phrases, consistently ranking first on the list.
Despite the challenges associated with moving, Dubai’s reputation for offering helpful services, expat-friendly laws, and tax-free salaries has spread widely, making the relocation process relatively straightforward.
The research highlights that individuals across 37 out of 50 US states and seven out of 10 Canadian provinces actively explored options for moving to Dubai. Paris claimed third place, while Miami secured the second spot among the most sought-after locations.
The list of desired cities included Singapore as the sole Asian destination, with Madrid ranking fifth and Paris third among European cities. Other notable cities on the list were London, Brussels, Toronto, and Washington DC, among others.
Dubai’s recognition as the world’s greatest city in 2021 stems from its remarkable innovations, unique world records, and extensive entertainment offerings. Furthermore, Dubai was identified as one of the safest places to live this year, with Ajman and Sharjah, two other cities in the United Arab Emirates, also ranking high on the list in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
